On a beautiful ridge in northern Chester County, high above the headwaters of the French Creek, sits this new home. It is nestled in the trees with a long view of a golf course that would excite any nature lover. Given the naturalistic setting, the design called for a palette that is simpatico with the essence of the environment.
Always a challenge to mix his and her tastes, this home is an eclectic combination of style and function. A rustic blue painted coffee table lives in harmony with contemporary Philippe Stark lamps, while an original vintage Japanese woodcut has taken up residence over the mantle. The building of texture creates a terrific background that supports the unexpected artwork collection that inspires this very unique environment.
Iron artist Michael Dutcher was commissioned to design and make chandeliers for the dining room and breakfast room. The organic nature of his work adds exponentially to the beautiful custom spaces. A hand painted and gold leafed mantle designed by Nancy Evers in the family room, is a focal point for spirited conversation.
The library was painted by Nancy Evers to invoke the cabin where this family spends many happy times. A contemporary Adirondack motif threads its way among the books and family treasures. Don’t miss the unusual mirror in the entry hall that is an “O” from an old Woolworth’s store sign.
Comfortably nestled in a lovely nook at The Shops at Eagle Village in Wayne Pennsylvania...
At the end of a quiet meandering drive sits this lovely house built in the 1940’s. It is now home to a young, growing family...
