This graceful home was built in 2005 in a beautiful lush setting, surrounded by mature trees and gently sloping hills. The custom finishes and focused attention to every design detail, has culminated in a fantastic home. Having clients with a vision, creative desire, and willing spirits, allows for very special results.
Horizontal striped walls in the living room were hand painted and glazed, adding soft yet confident definition. Antique original paintings contribute to the tension with the contemporary elements in the room. Stunning luxurious fabrics along with the casual comfort of the furniture make this room a total experience.
If you look closely in the family room, you will see the hand combed fireplace surround that adds interest as well as depth. In the office, the mantel wall is hand painted faux bois that even fooled many of the carpenters, as it looks like a piece of luscious walnut.
There is a wonderful combination of vintage, commissioned, handmade, and new lighting throughout the home. These lovely pieces surround each room with warmth and functional beauty. Specific artwork was chosen or commissioned to represent each of the client’s very interesting, unique grown children.
